Thoughts on Apocalypto-the movie

Could be the most impressive film I've seen. Certainly, I've not seen one like it in the past couple of years. I was most excited by the means that Gibson and his co-writer used to put forth subtleties that might have been overlooked or unrecognized by non-screenwriters. I'm going to see it again -- with a notepad on lap to capture some of those unique and riveting twists they used without interrupting the flow of the story. I hope it does win accolades from the Oscar crowd.
